Diamond grinding has rapidly become a fast growing requirement of various agencies in order to comply with the public’s demand for smoother and quieter roadways. These entities demand better skid resistance, surface texture, and restoration of ride quality. At Diversified Concrete Cutting, Inc. we have aggressively taken our part to meet these strict criteria.

 

For bump grinding, Diversified has custom built four 400+ hp grinders with maximum visibility and faster movement speed which allows for better productivity as well as a more elaborate and efficient vacuum system for cleaner surfaces. The benefits are then realized in the end results – superior quality work when compared to our competitors. We employ highly trained and skilled operators who focus on professionalism, production, and quality, which equates to a better end product with a lower cost impact to your company. Our operators and crews work well with your staff, state and federal entities, and inspection agencies to assure the client the best end product possible.

 

Our profile grinder machine consists of six mainline grinders that have also been updated and outfitted with larger, more efficient engines and better vacuum systems. These grinders are fully supported with water tankers and a modified Brandt Varco reclamation system to process the grinding debris. The solid remains can then be disposed of in a local landfill with no contamination issues and the water is recycled back to supply the grinders. 

 

Our grinder machines can also be outfitted with different head attachments for various other specific applications. One such attachment allows us to grind recesses into concrete or asphalt for striping purposes. Another uses grooving blades to perform longitudinal grooving on roadways and bridges or transverse grooving for runways. Additionally, Diversified has a custom built bridge grooving machine with a vacuum system to groove transversely on bridges of various widths.  All these forms of grooving help to restore skid resistance, increase surface friction, and improve surface drainage which reduces the possibility of hydroplaning during wet weather conditions.
